2021

In 2021 we witnessed people in our community still struggling financially as a result of the 2020 pandemic and decided to do another year of Riley’s Reindeers. We streamlined the process and learned from our 2020 mistakes and decided to host an event at a Public Park in Lakeland. We recruited many volunteers (friends) and passed out toys to parents for almost three straight hours. We had toys on tables separated by age, and even provided a table of new and gently used clothing. We passed out hundreds of stockings, had a wrapping station where people could wrap themselves or have a volunteer wrap for them, and even raffled off a bunch of ‘large ticket’ items. Over 300 people attended this event and toys were gifted to over 900 children. This left us with high hopes for reaching more members of our community in 2022.
